Below is a list of questions frequently asked by students and potential students. If you don’t see the information you’re looking for here, just give us a call at 727-343-0911.

Q: Do you offer the 4-hour first time drivers course, ticket classes, ADI , etc.
A:
Yes, throughout the entire State. We offer State of Florida approved online classes such as the 4 hour “first time driver’s” course which is needed to get your Florida Class E Learner’s License. We also offer the “ticket classes” and the 4, 8 and 12 hour courses needed because of an accident, suspension or court order. The BDI course is also available in video/DVD format, as well as in the only State approved booklet course. See all traffic school courses offered by Broadway Driving School.

Q: Do you offer the official teenage driver’s education course?
A:
Not every school is licensed to offer it, but Broadway Driving School is State of Florida accredited and licensed to offer the official teenage 30 & 6 driver’s education program (30 hours classroom & 6 hours behind-the-wheel). However, we choose not to offer it because the teens don’t want to sit through the 30 hours of classroom, especially since most insurance companies no longer offer a discount for taking the course. The ones that still offer any discount usually don’t require the classroom portion. We do offer customized one-on-one, behind-the-wheel training.

Q: Do you rent vehicles for road tests?
A:
Yes, but only to our students and only if they meet our standards. We will accompany our students to use our training car for the actual State road test for an additional fee.

Q: What areas do you serve with in-car lessons?
A:
Usually, we serve only the lower half of Pinellas County (south of Gulf-to-Bay Blvd. in Clearwater). If in doubt about whether we serve your location, just give us a call.

Q: How many lessons will I need?
A:
No one can predict how long it takes because every student has different needs and capabilities. Some students just want us to help them develop a basic foundation to get them stable enough so family or friends can take over. Some want from “A to Z.” Others want help in preparing for their road test, or only specific areas such as parking, turning, expressways, or whatever their particular needs or weaknesses are.

NOTE: Frank, the instructor, always says (and proves) that if the instructor teaches the right things, at the right times, then the student can do their best and quickest learning. As with learning a language or any complex skill, there is a proper sequence. If the instructor teaches the wrong things at the wrong times, then the student may be trying very hard, but gets nowhere. With our approach and experience, we will bring out your best and quickest learning.

Q: What do I need to take lessons?
A:
You must have some kind of valid license or permit such as a Florida Class E Learners License (formerly called a restricted license) or a learners permit or license from another state.
